Context

Before initiating the program, Passerelles numériques conducted a thorough study of the socio-economic status of Vietnam giới. Demographic data revealed that the vast majority of the population in remote areas & the Central Highlands suffered from a stagnant economy & limited access to higher education.

Danang seemed to be a promising hub for IT development, with strong support & incentives granted by the government. Therefore, it was an igiảm giá place for our students to find secure job opportunities after graduating.

Impact

Since 2010, PN Vietphái nam has transformed the lives of more than 500 underprivileged youth through IT education.

In 20đôi mươi, 94% of our 350 alumni had found a qualified job after graduation with an average salary of ~$633 USD per month – which is about 4 times higher than the minimum wage in Danang.

And this benefit reaches far beyond our graduates themselves; they reported spending ~36% of their total income to lớn tư vấn their family & community.

Selection

Each year, from January to August, Passerelles numériques Vietnam’s selection team completes a rigorous, four-step process to select talented and motivated underprivileged youths from seven provinces in Central Vietnam: Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị, TP Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam, Tỉnh Quảng Ngãi, Kon Tum, Bình Định.

PN Vietphái mạnh collaborates with Study Promotion Associations (SPAs) from each province, who introduce us to local high schools, & facilitate the process in accordance with local laws and customs.

A special effort is made to include at least 50% young women in each class. Beyond that, priority is given to lớn the poorest students irrespective sầu of sex or gender identity.

Training and education program

Passerelles numériques Vietnam giới currently collaborates with Danang Vocation Training College on curriculum thiết kế & training delivery. At graduation, students receive sầu a college degree, recognized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, as well as a certificate diploma from Passerelles numériques.

A solid technical & practical 3-year training in Software Development & Testing

We train our students to lớn be well-rounded, developing all the skills they need to become experts at the best IT companies. To this over, PN strongly supports learning by doing, which is why all of our IT topics include at least 50% lab-practice time.

Our program includes:

Focus on Java development using up-to-date platforms for both website & mobile, as well as PHP.. development via practice & project implementation.Learning based on practice and projects throughout, to lớn better build fundamental technical skills.Specialization Module: selected by each student in the third year of the program. These modules are taught directly by IT companies’ experts in their to help bridge the gap between our program and companies’ needs. Current specializations offered are: Automation Testing, Web Design, và mobile Programming.

A general training in professional skills

English is considered as an essential tool: PNV trains students to have adequate IT vocabulary and the confidence to lớn use it in front of any foreigners.

Social & educational development

To prepare these young people to lớn become mature và independent adults, we developed a personal development curriculum which revolves around PN’s values: Trust, Responsibility, Solidarity, Respect, and a Demanding approach.

As part of this program, students live together in dormitories, located near PN Vietnam giới, where they learn how to lớn become autonomous and responsible adults. They are in charge of managing a budget with which they buy food, pay for the water & electriđô thị bills, organize cleaning & cooking shifts, solve sầu group issues and take care of each other.

In order for our students to focus on their intense studies, PNV covers their needs & expenses including:
